Sreditor

SR&ED documentation, written as you build — not reconstructed the night before it's due.

What it is

Sreditor is a CLI that judges your team's work against the CRA's actual three-part SR&ED test — technological uncertainty, systematic investigation, technological advancement — in near real-time, as changes are archived, not once a year from memory. Every judgment prompt is public, plain TypeScript, and deliberately skeptical rather than generous, because a defensible claim is worth more than a generous one.

How it works

  1. sreditor probe
Before you build, articulate the genuine uncertainty in your own words — or find honestly that there isn't any.
  2. sreditor judge
After a change is archived, it's judged against the real CRA test — not "was this hard," but "was this technologically uncertain."
  3. sreditor rollup
Related changes get grouped into one coherent, CRA-shaped project narrative — the level CRA actually wants a claim framed at.
  4. sreditor report
A T661 Part 2-structured document, with real word counts against the real per-line limits.

Built for everyone in the room

Developers

Capture the real story while it's fresh, not from memory in April.

Accountants & filers

Start from a CRA-shaped narrative, not a pile of commit messages to interpret after the fact.

Auditors & CRA reviewers

Every judgment prompt lives in the open-source repo. Nothing here is taken on faith.

Sharing these stats is opt-in and entirely aggregate — no project name, no reasoning text, no change id is ever collected. See the exact schema for what that means in practice.
